The short version: the free tools on golash.in run in your browser. We don't ask you to sign up, and we don't receive the files or numbers you enter.

Who we are

golash.in is run by Krishna Gahlod, an individual based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India (“golash”, “we”). For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we are the data fiduciary for the little personal data golash.in handles.

What the tools do with your data

• Attendance calculator: the numbers you enter stay in your browser. They are saved on your device (in local storage) so you can come back to them. Clear your browser data to delete them.
• Resume score: your PDF is read by your own browser. It is never uploaded to golash or anyone else.
• CGPA converter: runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
• Stipend budget planner: your numbers stay in your browser and are saved on your device so your plan is there next time.
• Internships closing this week: your browser fetches the list from Opportunity OS (opportunity-os.golash.in). Nothing about you is sent with that request beyond the technical details every web request carries.

What we do collect, and why

• Technical logs: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, records basic request details (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These are kept for a short period under Cloudflare's own retention rules.
• Visit counts: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies and doesn't follow you across other websites. It tells us which pages and tools are used, never who you are.
• Messages you send us: if you email us, we keep your message and email address to reply, and delete them within 12 months of the conversation ending unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

We don't use advertising trackers, we don't build profiles, and we don't sell or share personal data.

Children

The free tools need no account and send us nothing you enter, so anyone can use them. Our products that need an account are for people aged 18 or older.

Products on other golash addresses

Full products such as InternPrep AI, Opportunity OS, Attempt and Finalist run on their own addresses (for example internprep-ai.golash.in). Each has its own privacy policy, linked from its pages, which explains what it stores and asks for your consent before it does.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• correct, complete or update it;
• erase it, and withdraw any consent you have given (withdrawing is as easy as giving it);
• nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.

Write to grievance@golash.in. We reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security and data breaches

golash.in is served over HTTPS with security headers, and holds no accounts or passwords. If a personal data breach ever affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires, and report it to CERT-In where required.

Changes

If we change how golash.in handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
